How to Claim SolaRIS

What is the SolaRIS initiative?

A government incentive offering rebates to residential customers in Malaysia who install new solar photovoltaic (PV) systems; aims to boost the country’s renewable energy capacity and reduce carbon emissions.

Available to TNB Residential Customers under Tariff A, first-time NEM Rakyat applicants from 1 April 2024 onwards, and Malaysian citizens.

Install a solar PV system through an authorized provider like Solartech and then apply for the SolaRIS Rebate Program through channels provided by TNB.

Based on your Declared Installed Capacity (kWac), with RM1,000 per kWac, up to a maximum of RM4,000.

After installation and commissioning of the solar PV system under the NEM Rakyat Program, the rebate will be deposited into the customer’s local bank account, subject to the terms and conditions of the SolaRIS program.
